From Dreaming of a Grocery Store to Charity
Before the pandemic, she wanted to own a small grocery shop and run it together with her family. But the virus shifted her priorities.
Like many other countries around the world, the Philippines are in lockdown, which led to severe economic consequences, especially for those with low income. Gina couldn’t ignore this injustice and decided to sacrifice her dream for the things that are truly important at the moment. She asked FBS to provide basic food supplies to people in the poorest districts of Manila.
Together with the FBS team, she went to the unprivileged neighborhoods and gave away food parcels to the needy. Each box contained rice, noodles, sardines, coffee, biscuits, milk, and other necessities. At least for a short period, 100 families were supplied to survive.
Now when you see that big dreams can work out, we hope that you will definitely make your own dream of the grocery shop real! Thank you for inspiring the FBS team and being an example of generosity and selflessness in these troubled times. Way to go!
